Xmas scraps

Well, we have some good leftovers from the annual buffet. Viv made some shortcrust pastry mini-turkey & bacon tartlets with wild cranberry sauce that must be the best Xmas party treat ever to grace our table. I liked them very much anyway. The kids (and Uncle Phil) polished off 72 cocktail sausages, and there were a host of other festive goodies to tantalise and tempt us all to over-indulge. Good job it's only an annual offering, or we might start to get fat :-D

G's last day at school today, and V's first day back to work after a week off. I'm at work today, but not for long! Ho ho ho hum

How many shopping days left?

Well, we've done a fair bit on the www, but still 'need' to get to the shops. An agreement was made (a couple of years back now I think) whereby we don't buy one another expensive pressies, and our family (well, Viv's side) tradition of spending a fixed amount for each person's gift robustly soldiers on; it's at £6.00 this year, same as last. This practice drives thought, and for that reason I'm all in favour! You know (or will do soon) what I think of thoughtlessness, excessive thought being one of my (many) personal flaws ;-)

Anyway, in answer to the question, I will express it as an equation: "how many you need" - 1

The weekend is soon upon us! Time to get on with some more work...
